We are very excited to have discovered this product recently. Regular bokashi is mainly made out of wheat bran that has had a synergistic combination of photosynthetic bacteria, lactic acid bacteria and yeast grown on its surface, and then dried. When introduced to your garden soil, these wondrous microbes then play a significant role in reviving your soil and plant health.

Pro-Gro Bokashi goes a couple steps further. In addition to the red wheat bran and microbes, it also contains the excellent rock dust Carbonatite, organic hemp seed protiens, kelp powder, organic beetroot juice, EM ceramic powder and a proprietary blend of vitamins, minerals and superfood complex. This product is essentially a bokashi on steroids!

The probiotic, beneficial, anaerobic bacteria that are grown in the red wheat bran work in conjunction with the aerobic microbes in the soil to help to establish the biology that forms the crucial soil web. However, it is the additional ingredients that are found in Pro-Gro Bokashi that are specifically formulated to keep the microbial biology alive and flourishing once it has been established.

It is this consortia of beneficial bacteria and fungi that are necessary in the soil for most of the decomposition processes, as well as building immune defenses in plants. It is this same microbiology that ultimately builds up the humics in the soil, which coordinates the overall immune and nutrient uptake.

Pro-Gro Bokashi is used primarily as a top dress to your existing soils by spreading ¼ cup on the surface of each sq ft of soil. It also can be used as an amendment when making soil for raised beds or container planters, at a rate of 1 cup of bokashi to each cubic foot of soil.
